While there was still some doubt as to which team would be crowned the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball National Champion, 30 year-old Jason Rodriguez - a Sunnyside High grad - left no room for failure in our annual "Million Dollar Bracket Challenge" presented by Yakima Steak Company.

The top-seeded Villanova Wildcats disposed of the #3 Michigan Wolverines by a final score of 79-62 in San Antonio last night but Rodriguez had already cinched the top score of the 156 entrants before the game even tipped off. Rodriguez did correctly pick 'Nova to be the king of the hill when they tourney ended as did his only threats, thus nullifying their chances to snatch the victory.

For his predicting prowess, Jason scored himself a 55-inch TLC t.v. plus a $100 gift card from Yakima Steak Company.

When asked what his secret was for correctly picking more winners than the rest of the field, Jason said his "lucky rabbit's foot" was his 11 year-old basketball-playing daughter Aneya, who helped him fill out his bracket - despite the fact that he refuses to watch any sports on television that his child participates in!

While that fact is pretty amazing, it shouldn't really come as much of a surprise that he smoked all of the DJ's here! Congrats, Jason (and Aneya)!
