Parmalee must've liked what they saw of central Washington last summer, because they're coming back again!

Organizers of the UnTapped Music Festival announced this morning (Feb. 2) that the band will headline the May 14 Country/Rock Stage at the two-day microbrews-and-music gathering in Kennewick.

The North Carolina-rooted band played the Watershed Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre last July, then returned for the Central Washington State Fair in September. Matt Thomas even took time out for a game of "60 Seconds" with the Morning Bull Pen last summer.

Their show in Kennewick caps an impressive list of performers for the 20th annual music and microbrews festival. Other acts on the UnTapped Country/Rock Stage include:

  • Brewers Grade
  • Stompin Ground
  • Billy Stoops & Dirt Angel
  • Colorblind
  • Foolish Fortune
  • Kate Turner

Blues Stage bands include:

  • Lloyd Jones
  • Little Bill and Blue Notes
  • JunkBelly
  • Ben Rice
  • DK Stewart Sextet
  • The Delgado Brothers
  • Hamilton Loomis

The festival kicks off Friday night (May 13) with performances by Bent on Blues, 3rd Date and Commander Cody at Clover Island Inn, near the banks of the Columbia River.

The Country/Rock Stage and Blues Stage artists play Saturday (May 14) at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

The festival is presented by Mid Valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Marine, and a portion of the proceeds benefits Girls on the Run.
