Practice Pays Off For Shaylee and the Naches Pink Bombers

My little Shaylee has been playing AAU basketball since she was in first grade. She can make baskets during practice, but has yet to make one during a game.

She's gotten frustrated over the past couple years. I keep telling her to work hard at practice and eventually it will pay off.

Well ... on Saturday my words proved to be true.

Her team was tied 8-8 with a little over a minute left in the fourth quarter. Normally, she would pass away the ball, but she decided to try for a basket -- and she made it!!! The score won the game for her team,10-8!

I'm so very proud of her and the entire team -- the Naches Pink Bombers -- for their willingness to not give up and play with heart!
