According to Forbes Magazine the annual revenue generated from Fantasy Football has reached $70 Billion. Yes, that's billion with a b. Fantasy Football has existed for a few decades but it really took off with the proliferation of the internet. As soon as it became as easy to run a fantasy league as registering for free on any of hundreds of websites even the average joe could be the commissioner of his or her own league with just a few clicks.

Just to give you an idea of exactly how big $70 Billion is, it's slightly more than the annual GDP of Idaho... yes, the entire state. It's also more revenue that the NBA, Major League Baseball and the NHL bring in combined. In fact, Fantasy Football generates about 4 times more revenue than those sports AND THE NFL... combined.

The frosting on the cake... now trophy manufacturers create trophies specific to couch potatoes like me who play fantasy football. In the 80's football passed baseball as America's pastime. Now, unequivocally, it's "fantasy" football.
