A look behind the scenes and a glimpse into what it means to be a 12th Man flag raiser at Seattle's Centurylink Field.

After the Seattle Seahawks cliched a berth in Super Bowl XLVIII by beating the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 in Sunday's NFC Championship game, Seahawks' owner Paul Allen was presented with the George Halas trophy. In his acceptance remarks, Allen was emphatic in thanking the 12th Man, the Seahawks' fans for their unwavering support.

The Seahawks are unique among NFL teams in the way they include their fans in every home game day experience, most notably with the raising of the 12th Man flag. It's a very special honor to be chosen to hoist the flag just before kickoff, and a host of northwest luminaries and ordinary folks have undertaken this task.

This video takes a look behind the scenes, and gets the reactions of several people who have raised the 12th Man flag in the past.
