Though newcomers on the country music scene, Runaway June already have a Top 30 hit and a host of close pals in the genre, counting the likes of Brett Young, Kip Moore and Midland as friends.

Young and Runaway June — comprised of Jennifer Wayne, Naomi Cooke and Hannah Mullholland — are both part of ToC's 2017 RISERS class, and they tell Taste of Country Nights' Sam Alex that being a part of the photoshoot was a celebration of sorts. "There's so much camaraderie in country music. It's a small community and we have a lot of friends and whenever we get to do things like that together, we're celebrating together, it's a lot of fun," they say.

The trio share the same manager as Young and are thrilled to witness his rapid rise to stardom on the back of two chart-topping singles, "Sleep Without You" and the platinum-selling "In Case You Didn't Know."

"He's just blowing up and it's been really fun to see him have success," the trio acknowledge. "He does have a little bit of a charm, there's always a trail of women," adds Wayne. "He's so charming and sweet that he'll talk to anybody."

Along with Young, the "Lipstick" singers cite Moore and up-and-coming band Midland as close friends, with the former being first act to invite them on tour. "He's just one of the sweetest people in history, he's so great," they say of Moore.

They'll also hit the road with Midland on Jon Pardi's headlining 2017 Lucky Tonight Tour, and they're expecting to endure some pretty wild times with the guys. "They are a wild bunch," Wayne says of the "Drinkin' Problem" hitmakers. "Anytime we have a show with them, we stay out way past our bedtime, because you can't leave them because they're so interesting to hang out with and they all have their own thing going. They're just very entertaining."

Runaway June's latest single, "Wild West," is available now.
