The salmon forecast meeting happens every year with the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife. The meeting is to preview the year's salmon returns and potential fishing seasons. WDFW opens the salmon forecast meetings to the public. They believe that the public plays a huge part in shaping salmon fisheries across the state.

Ron Warren is the head of the WDFW and on their website he mentions that he wants the public's opinion either at the meeting or comments on line.

State and tribal fish managers are always looking to improve how fishing goes in our great State of Washington.
