Scotty McCreery will release a book next year. A biography called Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream will be available on May 3, 2016. Christian publisher Zondervan is publishing the soon-to-be 22-year-old's debut literary project.

Go Big or Go Home promises McCreery's story, in his own words. Beginning with his childhood in Garner, N.C., to winning American Idol in 2011, to releasing two studio albums, the book focuses on his life, career and faith.

“God gave me a voice and America gave me a chance,” McCreery says in a press release. “This book is about those two things."

Zondervan is a Grand Rapids, Mich., based publisher of bibles and Christian communications. Author Travis Thrasher worked with McCreery on the book. He also helped Jimmy Wayne and Thompson Square write their novels. Additionally, he's written several books based on the experiences of the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame.

Musically, McCreery is prepping the release of his third studio album, also expected in 2016. The lead single "Southern Belle" was released to radio earlier this year and currently sits just outside the Top 50 on the Billboard Airplay charts. McCreery has just three remaining dates on his official tour calendar. Earlier this year he was a part of Rascal Flatts Riot Tour, with RaeLynn also opening.
