Seahawks Add Veteran Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll wanted more wide receivers in camp, so today the team signed former Jets star Braylon Edwards.
The Seahawks have questions at wide receiver going into the 2012 season. Sidney Rice is coming off shoulder surgery and Mike Williams was released recently. Veteran Ben Obomanu returns, as do youngsters Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate, Kris Durham, and Ricardo Lockette. Antonio Bryant was signed after a tryout last spring, and today the Seahawks signed Bralon Edwards after a tryout last week.
Pete Carroll said, “Braylon worked out really well for us a week ago, and we had him in mind as a guy that could help us if we had a shot to get him in here. He responded to it well. I know he is a very aggressive football player.”
