Seahawks Quarterback Competition Continues

The Seattle Seahawks wrapped up their three day minicamp Thursday with no decisions in their quarterback situation.

The competition between incumbent starter  Tavaris Jackson, free agent acquisition Matt Flynn, and rookie Russell Wilson will continue when the Seahawks open up training camp in July.

Coach Pete Carroll said that the team will try to give all three players even repetitions. All three  quarterbacks got chances to run the first team offense this week.

Carroll added “We’ll sit back and make a big evaluation.”  “We have to finalize that in the next two weeks, the end of this week and next week, to see where it comes to this point. I’m really pleased with the way they’ve worked. They’ve busted their tails to get their stuff done. They’ve all been able to run the club. They’ve all been able to function in the huddle and make their adjustments and changing the plays as they have to, protections and all that. Those are all really good signs.”

Carroll also said that no decisions will be made until Jackson, Flynn, and Wilson show what they can do in pre- season games.
