Shania Twain scored one of the biggest hits of her career with "That Don't Impress Me Much," and in a new interview, she shares the unusual way Brad Pitt accidentally inspired the song.

Twain lampoons men who carry themselves with too much vanity and pridefulness in "That Don't Impress Me Much," which she released as the third single from her record-shattering Come On Over in 1998. The song was a smash hit all over the world.

"Oh-oo-oh, so you think you're something special / Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else / Okay, so you're Brad Pitt / That don't impress me much," she sings in the chorus.

"I had a girl friend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him," she tells Billboard. "And this was like all the rage."

Twain didn't share in the frenzy over the illicit photos.

"I just thought, 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.' I'm like, 'Well that don't impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day,'" she adds. "That's really what I thought. I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy."

Twain spoke to Billboard in the run up to her forthcoming album Now, which is set for release on Sept. 29.  “Life’s About to Get Good” is the lead single from Now, and Twain announced the complete track listing for the new album on July 5. She is set to embark on an extensive tour in support of the album beginning in May of 2018.
