The mother of a 14-year-old boy who had his e-cigarettes confiscated at school has lit up a heated controversy.

But so far, Mason Dunn's mom, Sue, hasn't persuaded officials at her son's school, Great Britain's Kearsley Academy in Greater Manchester, to change their minds.

Sue says Mason started smoking -- unbeknownst to her -- when his father died. Since then, he's developed a half-pack-a-day habit.

She doesn't approve of her son smoking, but she says using e-cigarettes -- or vaping -- is the only thing that's helping him reduce his dependence on nicotine.

So where do you stand? Should schools let students vape -- particularly if they're doing so to help them quit?
