I battle with these little pests every year, but for some reason they seem to be A LOT worse this year.

Black sugar ants!

No matter how clean I keep the house they seem to find a way inside. A popular menu items seems to be whatever's in the cats' dish.

We've learned a lot about these pests. The queen ant sends out the workers for whatever she needs ... oil/protein or sugar.

The Terro ant bait worked great last year. This year it seems to be taking longer.

We've had exterminators come out, but they just spray around the outside of the house and put out bait. All the same things we do ourselves.

It would help to have the whole outside yard and flower beds sprayed, but I can't find anyone who does this.

How can we get rid of the ants for good?
