When Winter Weather Arrives, Activities Heat Up in the Yakima Valley

After a much-needed snow in dry our state leads us into the Christmas break, it's time schedule a winter play day.

As I think back, I remember some of my favorite winter memories in the Yakima Valley -- like sliding down the terraces at Franklin Park or playing snow football at snow camp with my youth group friends. One year we even went up to Swiftwater Cellars with rented snowshoes from Sporthaus and hiked the backcountry. There's so much to do this time of year in our part of the state.
