Steven Tyler has played a few solo shows here and there as of late, and on Tuesday (May 3), the iconic rocker and budding country star shared his plans for a full-blown solo tour.

The Aerosmith frontman's Out on a Limb Tour will feature him and backing band Loving Mary re-working some of his most famous hits and sharing the stories behind them; he'll also weave in songs from his upcoming country project.

“What would I not pay to go see [Paul] McCartney, but instead of playing with whoever he’s with now, actually do [a show] where he tells you what he was thinking when he wrote "Yesterday"?” Tyler tells USA Today. “That’s what I’m doing. I figured I’d talk about "Sweet Emotion" and "Dream On" and where I was when I wrote it, and "Seasons of Wither" and how I played it.”

The Out on a Limb Tour will begin on July 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., and run through mid-September. Stops include Seattle, Wash.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada, among others; a full list of dates is below. In early August, Tyler will also perform at WE Fest 2016.

Rumors of Tyler’s plans for a solo country career first began swirling back in March of 2015. That April, he officially announced his signing with Big Machine Label Group’s Dot Records. He released his first country single, “Love Is Your Name,” last May, and in September, Tyler revealed that he was hoping to debut a full album in “February or so.”
