Michele’s Back From Portland, Still Riding that Garth High

You know it was one of the best concerts EVER when days later your ears are still ringing and you're still humming the songs!

I'm still riding the Garth Brooks high, days after attending his show in Portland's Moda Center.

My very first concert was Garth Brooks in the Tacoma Dome when I was 18 years old, working part time at my very first radio job. My bosses gave me their backstage passes and it was myself, my sister-in-law and Garth in a room alone for about 20 minutes. I think I said a total of five words during those 20 minutes!

Garth retired in 2000 to spend time with his girls, but now those girls are grown, so it's time for Garth to get back on the saddle and hit the road!

I think I can speak for everyone attending a Garth concert when I say ... we want vintage Garth! For some of us, we want to relieve that experience and for others attending a Garth concert, it's their first time experiencing that Garth magic.

I want the thunder sounds with the flashing strobe lights as Garth sings 'The Thunder Rolls.' I want to hear the haunting notes of 'The Dance.' I want to be taken back in time if only for a couple of hours!
