Yakima Valley Subway restaurants are partnering with law enforcement to promote child safety today at local elementary schools.

Free Subway child ID kits will be given to students attending the presentations and will also be available at local Subway restaurants while supplies last. Parents and children who use the kits will be better prepared to help law enforcement more quickly should their child get lost or go missing.

According to the National Childhood Identification Program, it is estimated that a child becomes lost or goes missing every 40 seconds.

These sessions will spread awareness and help make families more prepared going into the winter months.  For more info visit Subway.com
