Summer Meal Program for Kids

Unfortunately, food uncertainty is a very real problem. Kids go hungry every day RIGHT HERE in our communities! Some kids relying on school lunches to get them by. But what happens when school's out? Luckily there are amazing people that do whatever they can to provide kids with food during the summertime months.

According to KIMA, the Yakima School District will be offering their FREE Summer meal program for local kids. The school district goes out to different locations throughout the valley to provide breakfast and lunch for kids under 18 at no cost. District officials say they'll do this EVERY summer because "no child should go hungry."
