There's always excitement in the air when a celebrity makes time for a visit to the Yakima Valley.

Franco was accused of inappropriate behavior several years ago.

Seth Rogen and longtime partner Evan Goldberg recently launched And Action!, a new high school program that offers young, aspiring filmmakers the chance to learn the business by making a short film. But it probably never occurred to 17-year-old director Eduardo Cho and his creative collaborator, 16-year-old Kimberly Carrillo, that Rogen himself would actually show up to set — and bring several of his famous friends with him to star in Cho’s short.

So, last year, James Franco filmed a few scenes of his movie In Dubious Battle right here in Yakima and even used extras from right here in the Yakima Valley. This movie was never slated for a nationwide theatrical release, but many in Yakima are upset that it's not being shown in our theater or anywhere on the east-side of Washington state.
