Martina McBride's Band Against Cancer Tour made a stop in Denver on Oct. 8. The powerhouse vocalist brought Thompson Square and Cassadee Pope along for a night full of good music for a great cause.
Martina McBride has been around the block in country music, watching the trends ebb and flow, and she agrees with other artists that songwriting in country music has fallen into a predictable pattern over the last few years. But she thinks it’s coming back toward the honest songwriting she believes in.
While any night at the Grand Ole Opry is special, Wednesday (Oct. 26) was a particularly special show, as the Band Against Cancer: The Sarah Cannon Tour made its final stop at the historic venue. Martina McBride is at the helm of the tour, raising money for cancer research organizations including Sarah Cannon Fund at Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Be the Match.
