Congrats to Taylor Swift. The superstar has been nominated for a pair of MTV Video Music Awards, including the uber prestigious Video of the Year honor. Swift is also up for Best Female Video. Both nominations are for the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' video.

The singer was stoked to hear about her latest nominations. Even though it's old hat for her, since she is one of the most decorated artists of her day, she still shared her excitement and enthusiasm. She posted: "Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time."

That's clearly a reference to the 2009 VMAs, when Kanye West famously crashed her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award, an incident we're still talking about four years later. West wasn't nominated for any VMAs this year, so perhaps he won't even be at the ceremony to try and rain on Swift's parade, should she nab a Moon Man statuette.

Best of luck to Swift. We hope she notches a win ... or two. We've said it before and we'll say it again. Swift is going to need to add a wing to one of her houses in order to store all the awards she wins.

See all the nominees here. Interestingly, Swift is the only female nominee in the Video of the Year category, going up against the likes of Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars.

In the Best Female category, her competition is pretty stiff, as she goes up against Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Demi Lovato.
