Well, the smoke kind of puts a damper on the outdoor summer activities, doesn't it? Over the weekend, the wind adjusted and is now blowing in smoke from wildfires in Canada.  As a result, we are dealing with decreased air quality.

As of 7 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 14) the state Department of Ecology rated the air quality in Yakima as "unhealthy" and "very unhealthy" in areas of the Lower Valley. It is recommended that you limit your time outdoors as extended exposure to the poor air quality can affect your health.
