The Best White Elephant Gift Ever [VIDEO]

Over the Christmas holiday we threw a party just for my husband's family. It's usually the day after Christmas and it always involves a white elephant gift exchange. Everyone's white elephant gift exchange rules are different. Here are ours: When it's your turn you decide if you want to keep your current gift before opening it or steal someone else's. Our white elephant rules include stealing a gift, but only twice. Then the gift is dead.

This year there was a special plan in place for the white elephant gift exchange that only a few key people knew about.

At the end of the white elephant gift exchange my niece's boyfriend was going to propose to her in front of the entire family. He had a glass slipper like Cinderella's that said' "Will you marry me?" He wrapped it up and the plan was that my husband would be toward the end of the gift exchange, so he could steal Shelby's current gift. She would then have the wrapped glass slipper.
