The Cold Hard Cash Show to Headline Yakima’s Fourth of July Celebration
It’s almost that time of year again — time to celebrate our country’s independence!
And one of the most popular places to celebrate around here is State Fair Park, where you can enjoy a full day of entertainment and awesome family fun. This year the Fourth of July committee has added a few new things to enjoy, including a citizenship ceremony.
There will also be kids activities and high-quality entertainment. This year’s musical headliner is The Cold Hard Cash Show, an innovative tribute to the music of Johnny Cash and The Tennessee Three!
The band formed in 2005 and is based out of Billings, Mont. According to their website the band is fronted by guitarist and singer Merle Travis Peterson, The Cold Hard Cash Show brings to life classic Cash songs from the Sun and Columbia Records catalogs to the modern American recordings, performing with the energy of the live albums from Folsom and San Quentin prisons with a sound so accurate you’ll swear you’re listening to The Man in Black himself! They’ve preformed on the David Letterman show and shared the stage with some of music’s biggest stars. Soon they will be in Yakima to pay tribute to the legendary Johnny Cash.
