The Newal Repaved Daytona gets Tested by the Drivers of NASCAR

Believe it or not! We are just a few weeks away from the Daytona 500! OH YEAH! SHAKE 'N BAKE!

It's time to start those engines at Daytona International Speedway.

After spending $20 million repaving the historic track after an embarrassing pothole halted last year's Daytona 500. Defending champion Jamie McMurray says the new surface should lead to the sort of tight racing that's become the norm at the other restrictor-plate track, Talladega.

Testing begins Thursday for three days. About 40 teams are expected at the high-banked tri-oval, all getting prepared for next month's Daytona 500.
