There will also be having a live, silent and dessert auction. All proceeds go to funding the hotels, transportation, cost of the tournament and food for the kids.

When the organizers put this this team together their focus was specifically on getting the boys in front of college scouts in hopes of getting scholarships. Most of these boys have played school ball and tournament ball in Yakima. They realized that the future of the kids was very important.

Most of our tournaments are out of town, which is a financial hardship for a brand-new team -- which is why they are holding the fundraiser. The boys will be attending a college showcase tournament, which numerous college reps will attend to see the boys in action for possible scholarships. They have since set up a website and have had reps for colleges contact us regarding scholarships and wanting these kids to sign with them.

The future for these boys depends on the community when you really think about it. They devote so much time and energy and none of it would be possible without sponsors or donations. So far, they have had four Mariners vs. Red Sox tickets donated, five Pippens tickets, massage gift cards, tanning and salon packages, espresso gifts, photography packages and a whole list of other things donated for the silent auction. They have already sold about 150 tickets for this event, but our goal is approximately 300 and we only have two weeks left to sell!
