Daylight saving time begins Sunday. That’s when we have to pay back that hour we “gained” last November when we switched to Standard time. So turn your clocks ahead one hour before you go to sleep Saturday night. Since 2007, Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. While one-third of Americans say they “dread” having to turn the clock forward, half of those responding to a survey by Sleeps mattresses think they’ve found the answer to post-DST sluggishness. They favor moving the time change from 2 a.m. Sunday morning to 2 a.m. Saturday morning, a shift that would theoretically soften the Monday morning “clock shock” that many will feel this March 14th. Four out of 10 say they’ll begin preparing for the clock change a week ahead of time. And most are willing to take steps for the sake of sleep:

•64% would give up TV or entertainment for better and more zzz’s.

•16% would sacrifice sex for slumber, with far more women (20%) than men (12%) favoring sleep over more amorous activities.
