Us vs. Them in Walla Walla – Civil War Studies
The Mason-Dixon Line was drawn through Walla Walla last Tuesday.
Garrison Middle School students had a unique way to complete their studies of the Civil War by doing an re-enactment the Battle of Gettysburg on the playground.
The students were allowed to use toy swords as weapons instead. They wore arm bands to designate the armies – red with the Confederate flag for the South and blue with the U.S flag for the north.
