Vin Diesel has recently been teasing his involvement with an upcoming Marvel project, so we're a little surprised he also just signed on for the film 'World's Most Wanted.' It's an action adventure movie from the producer of the 'Fast and Furious' films.

Currently this film -- which was originally penned by Will Staples and Sean O’Keefe -- is being rewritten by Dan Mazeau, who previously worked on 'Wrath of the Titans' (but we won't hold that against him). But the film is still in the early stages of pre-production, according to Deadline Hollywood. Deadline doesn't reveal much about the plot, though with that title it's likely to be about a deadly criminal mastermind or some sort of treasure hunt.

Signing on for this speaks well for how Diesel has righted his career. Once thought to be washed up, it was the success of the fourth 'Fast and Furious' film that brought him back and after that became a mega-blockbuster franchise he was able to bring his 'Riddick' series back from the dead.

But with 'World's Most Wanted' nowhere near close to shooting (though Diesel is tied up with 'Fast and Furious 7,' which should begin shooting in the near future), it's hard to say how this reflects on his work for Marvel. It is fair to say it doesn't eliminate the possibility of him being the voice of Rocket Raccoon for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' or playing Vision in 'The Avengers: The Age of Ultron.'
