My 19-year-old son Benjamin has been looking to purchase a car, but the one he wants would be a stick shift. His current car is an automatic. Not many people drive stick shifts anymore.

Benjamin and I were discussing finding someone who has a stick shift who could teach him. That's when he mentioned that he's already been watching YouTube videos on how to drive a stick. Huh?

There was no YouTube when I was learning how to drive a stick shift!! My cousin Brian taught me on a country road. My mom didn't have the patience to teach me.

Brian and I had the best time! We laughed and laughed and laughed until we were crying! And yes, there was lots of grinding gears to go along with the laughter tears.
