Every single year I step on countless goatheads that get tracked into our house. I don't know what is worse, stepping on Legos or goatheads.

I've just chalked it up to living in the country. The same as dealing with bugs and small rodents. All part of not having a neighbor within arm's reach of my home. It's a trade-off.

I remember as a kid those darn goatheads puncturing my bike tires. My dad would patch it up for me and tell me not to ride through the goatheads. Yeah, like I could see them while pedaling my bike. Watching for goatheads was not a priority -- beating the boys was.

Goatheads are also know as cat's-head or devil's thorn.

The Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board has classified the puncturevine -- tribulus terrestris -- as a noxious weed.

Legos or goatheads? Which is worse stepping on barefooted?
