Weekend Box Office – ‘Think Like a Man’ Takes Over at No. 1 for ‘The Hunger Games’

Screen Gems

‘Think Like a Man,’ the movie inspired by comedian Steve Harvey’s self-help book, has finally done what no movie in the past five weeks could — with $33 million in earnings, it toppled ‘The Hunger Games’ from its spot at the top of the weekend box office charts.

Another of this week’s new movies, ‘The Lucky One,’ pulled in $22.8 million for second place, with ‘The Hunger Games’ landing in third with $14.5 million.

Disney’s animal documentary ‘Chimpanzee’ and the modern reboot of ‘The Three Stooges’ rounded out the top five, selling $10.2 million and $9.2 million in tickets, respectively.
