What are “Hunger Games?”

I keep hearing about Hunger Games. My brother in-law has it for his Facebook profile pic, a lot of my friends are talking about it like it’s the greatest movie since Star Wars and I still know very little about it. I thought I would be a nice guy and do some research for those of us who know nothing about Hunger Games. Here a a few things you should know…
It’s based on the first book in a trilogy by Suzanne Collins. It takes place in the post-apocalyptic future, in a country formed by the ruins of North America.
Every year, the government selects a male and a female teenager from each of the twelve “districts”, and the 24 ‘tributes’ then fight to the death in a televised event.
It’s got an all-star cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Lenny Kravitz and Woody Harrelson. I make sure to report back with my review. To learn more about hunger games and local show times click here.
