A listener sent us an email asking for our help:

"I need advice. I've been at this new job for about three weeks now and my supervisor has texted me on almost every single one of my days off. The content of these messages is either about something I've screwed up (usually minor), something a co-worker has screwed up (he thought it was me), or just general sales numbers.

"Is this appropriate? Or can it wait? I work at a part-time minimum-wage job ... I like it, but it's not like I'm "on call" like a doctor. He has left an open-door policy for me to contact him with questions, but I never reciprocated this. And I feel it was proper for him to do so because he's the boss and I'm the newbie who sometimes needs help when there's no one around.

"I feel invaded. But is that just the price to pay while living in the smartphone era, 2015? If he is crossing the line, I have no idea how to go about approaching it ... help."

How do you think our listener should deal with this problem?
