School starts Aug. 31 in the largest district in the valley, and while many kids are getting excited, others are apprehensive because they're concerned about being bullied.

But last year the district started a bullying task force and created a number of different ways to deal with the problem, both internally and on the district's website, where parents can find an online reporting form.

As district spokeswoman Kirsten Fitterer explains, "If a parent felt like they weren't being heard maybe at the school level the reporting form will escalate that." And other resources are available on the website or from individual schools in the district.

If you have any questions or concerns and you don't have access to the internet, contact the district offices at 573-7000.
