A million dollars sure doesn’t go as far as it used to. In fact, in New York City, it’ll just buy you a premium place to park your car.

The pricey spot, which measures 12 feet wide and 23 feet long, is in a garage attached to an eight-story building which will soon house several luxury condos.

So why is it so expensive?

“It’s for someone who wants complete privacy,” said Dolly Lenz, Vice Chairman of Prudential Douglas Elliman. “You can drive in and not be seen again. It’s for the type of person who finds that attractive. It could be a celebrity or a business person who is camera shy.”

And if you think the parking is luxurious, wait until you hear about the condos: the shower water will be “pumped full of vitamin C and aloe,” and the design of the lighting patterns and air quality will purportedly help residents sleep better.

The expensive parking spot will probably be sold along with what’s considered the building’s “crown jewel” — an 8,000 square-foot duplex penthouse with its own 3,000 square-foot terrace. Asking price? Almost $40 million.

Break out your checkbooks, kids.
