It may or may not come as a surprise to you, but believe it or not, the state of Washington ranks as the fifth WORST state in the U.S. for driving. Some Washington cities, however, are certainly safer than others.

The fine folks at QuoteWizard.com, an online insurance comparison marketplace, recently released the results of a study that ranks the top 10 cities with the safest drivers. They used data such as speeding tickets, accidents, DUIs, and other citations within the last year, then calculated the rate of incidents across each city. Cities with the lowest rate are ranked safest.
