This week's harsh cold has been miserable for nearly everyone, but for the Yakima Valley's homeless people, it's life-threatening.

And with at least one person already hospitalized after being exposed to deadly outdoor conditions, Townsquare Media is issuing an emergency call for winter clothing donations.

We're asking for warm coats, gloves, hats, scarves, blankets -- anything that could help someone ward off the bitter temperatures that are expected to linger into the weekend. Donations have been coming for the past few days, and several businesses and agencies have stepped up to help.

Dropoffs are welcome at Townsquare Media's offices, 4010 Summitview Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays -- or at any of the following locations:

As usual, donations are also welcome at Yakima's Union Gospel Mission and the Salvation Army.
