I was pleasantly surprised to find that Yakima finally has a store dedicated to Legos for young and old alike!

Afol's Brick (afol being an acronym for Adult Fan of Lego) just opened up on the corner of 48th and Nob Hill a few weeks ago. I just had to check it out for myself.

When you walk in, you see nothing but non-stop Legos. Complete Lego sets, loose Legos and even Lego characters if you just need to buy one or two. Many are second hand so you're paying a fraction of the price and, as you know if you've bought Legos recently, it can add up quickly.

There was a chair and table in the corner where you can construct your creations if you wish. They also had Lego sets already completed on display. It was very cool to see.

According to the owner, this is the only store like this on the east side of Washington state. The closest location is Bellevue with the next being in Billings, Montana or Boise, Idaho. It's certainly unique which makes it a perfect fit for Yakima.

I'm a video game collector who grew up having to go to department stores or toy stores to buy video games. It took years for them to make dedicated stores for just video games and nothing but video games. It was my utopia. This is along those same lines for Lego enthusiasts. One store with nothin' but Legos and Legos products. Gotta love it.

You'll find them on 48th just off of Nob Hill. Maybe peek your head in sometime and be whisked away back to your youth.
