Yakima Neighborhoods Get FREE Cleanup on Earth Day

Do you have a TON of stuff you need to get rid of? But, maybe you're not quite sure where you should dispose of it...or don't have time to load it up and haul it to the dump? Well if you live in certain neighborhoods in Yakima, you can get rid of all that stuff for FREE thanks to an Earth Day Community Cleanup event.

According to KIMA, if you live from North 16th to North 35th avenues, as well as Powerhouse Road and River Road to Lincoln Avenue, you are eligible to participate.

WHAT: Earth Day Community Cleanup Event

WHERE: City of Yakima’s Public Works parking lot, 2301 Fruitvale Blvd

WHEN: Saturday, April 21

A temporary disposal site will be set up for you to bring all those items that you need to get rid of EXCEPT FOR:

• Hazardous materials
• Commercial waste
• Construction debris
• Concrete

Along with all that trash, they'll also accept up to four tires per family as long they're smaller car/truck tires.
