Yakima Police have made an arrest in the January burglary and arson of the 40th Avenue Bi-Mart store. Spokesman Mike Bastinelli says detectives used video taken from the store on the night of the burglary to identify the suspect. The 32-year-old Yakima man was spotted near a local store and taken into custody Wednesday night.
"There was a lot of work by detectives to get to this point," Bastinelli says. "But they identified a suspect, at least one."
He says other arrests are expected. The store was burglarized and boxes in a storage area were set on fire Jan. 17.

The suspect is facing numerous charges, including arson and burglary. Police say a number of guns were stolen in the burglary, but authorities found no guns during the arrest Wednesday night.
The store has since reopened after being closed for days after the incident.
