You Can Be A Pageant Queen

The 2011 Miss Yakima Sunfair Pagent is accepting Applications now. The pagent is open to all young ladies who are currently enrolled in high school(including home school)for the 2011-2012 school year. You must also live in the Yakima Valley. This years “scholarship” pageant is open to all young women between the ages 15 and 20 who are currently enrolled in high school or college and live in the greater Yakima Valley...and will focus on so much more than her external physical attributes.

The Miss Yakima Sunfair Pageant Committee's goal is to present to the community the finest examples of the young women our valley has to offer.

Those who seek academic excellence and personal achievement and who have a passion for and involvement with their local communities with plans to further their education and take their places as community leaders in the future. There will be hundreds of dollars worth of products, services and scholarship monies awarded to the contestants this year.

The new Miss Yakima Sunfair will be awarded $1000 towards her higher education and will reign until the next winner is crowned in August 2012. She with her runners-up, will ride on their own float in the Sunfair Parade in September.

Miss Yakima Sunfair and her 1st and 2nd runners-up will represent the Pageant, the Yakima Sunfair Festival Association and “Children’s Wishes and Dreams,” our official pageant sponsored charity, at several valley wide community events during her reign.
