Long before there was a T-Mobile Park (nee Safeco Field) or a CenturyLink Field (nee Qwest Field) in the SoDo district of Seattle, there was a concrete mausoleum that housed the city's pro sports teams. It was officially named the King County Domed Stadium, or, Kingdome for short.
While it held many major events besides just sporting, it quickly became antiquated and, just less than 24 years after opening, was demolished on March 26, 2000.
