McGuire's Irish Restaurant and Pub is a staple spot for so many in the Yakima valley. Known for its great food, cozy atmosphere, and, let's be honest, stiff drinks, McGuire's is a can't-miss place if you're looking for a place to go while going out in Yakima.

Me, being a lumbering 6'5 ogre, my problem is it's a little too cozy as I don't feel like I can fit sometimes. And the parking situation doesn't leave much room for you to park your car or truck as cars are getting bigger and bigger it seems.

I never want this McGuire's to change locations but I think they would do so well if they could expand and make it a bigger place with more atmosphere. Here are 5 locations in Yakima I'd love it if McGuire's would open a second location.

Valley Mall
No reason why not Valley Mall. I mean, after all it's Central Washington's Shopping Destination. Plenty of space to host a new McGuire's building. You could even put it right on the corner of 1st and Valley Mall Blvd.

SE corner of 72nd and Nob Hill
Such a great intersection and I think a perfect spot for this. You have the church in one corner, the elementary school across the street, Ace on the Meadowbrook side and the 4 corner is literally an empty lot. Let's fill it up with an awesome restaurant. West Valley could always use more dining options.

24th and Washington
There are a few buildings there just waiting to be inhabited. Kyoto's Sushi and Steakhouse is near there as well. Perfect spot for a place to grab lunch before flying out of Yakima for that afternoon flight out.

I'm sure you have some great ideas, too. Tell us on the app.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
