Yahritza y Su Esencias

If you're on TikTok you might be or will now be a part of the millions hooked on listening to a snippet of Yahritza singing Soy El Unico, a break-up ballad she wrote when she was 13. The video went viral and catapulted her and her brother's band Yahritza y Su Esencia to number one

After the song was released by their label Lumbre Music, it flew to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and crashed the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 20, making Yahritza the youngest Latin performer to enter the all-genre chart.

The Wild Horses of the Yakama Nation

It's always fun to experience something unique while driving so next time you're on highway 97 as you enter Yakama Nation land look to the hills and you just might see some of the most gorgeous wild horses. The following is from Yakama Nation Tribal Council Member Jeremy Takala

The wildhorses are considered apart of this land, more importantly the “Closed Areas “ where they roam on the Reservation. The Wildhorses are very much apart of our culture as we have Yakama members utilize the horses for many generations. Many of our members still to this day obtain horses in their back yards utilizing them for camping, parades, and competition. The bond is even developed closely with our youth, and even decorating horses in their own regalia.

The closed area is closed to the public and is not accessible to anyone but only Yakama Tribal Members. At times we are aware folks traveling along HWY 97 may observe horses. Some pull off the hwy and take a few photos.
