Couples Court: Groom Wants His Ex at the Wedding, But the Bride Says No Way
Planning the guest list for a wedding is tough any way you look at it. You don't want to leave anybody out or hurt their feelings.
But where do exes fit in? Should they be on the list? This groom thinks his ex should be invited, but his bride is having none of it. Who's right?
Dear Rik and Michele:
My fiance wants to invite his ex-girlfriend to our wedding.
I have said "NO" because I believe it is disrespectful to me and my family. Everyone, who is going to attend knows they dated. It's my big day, not hers. I hardly ever speak to her and am frustrated my fiance insists on her being present for our big day.
When I mentioned I wanted to invite a college boyfriend my fiance flipped! I am hurt because I believe my feelings are being ignored. My sister thinks I should consider postponing the wedding. What do you guys think? What's the rule on exes being invited to weddings?
Tough question? What do you say, Bull Pen jurors?
