Dan + Shay are heading down under with pop-superstar Shawn Mendes for the Australian leg of his self-titled tour.

The duo will support Mendes along with Ruel, an Australian singer-songwriter, when tour travels through Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney this winter. Tickets for the October and November dates will go on sale April 1 at noon local time.

In 2016, the country duo's Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney covered Mendes' song "Stitches," which they posted on their social media accounts. Mendes must have liked it, because in 2018, he tweeted to the duo:

The exchange didn't end there. On an Instagram live stream in October, Mendes had Dan + Shay's music playing in the background while he answered fan questions, so many speculated that a collaboration between them

Before heading going to Australia, Dan + Shay will finish their sold-out headlining U.S. tour. In June they will be supporting Florida Georgia Line on their Can't Say I Ain't Country Tour along with performance at CMA Fest, playing Nissan Stadium.

Dan + Shay are nominated for Duo of the Year, Album of the Year, Music Event of the Year (for their duet "Keeping Score" with Kelly Clarkson), Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year for "Tequila" at the upcoming ACM Awards on April 7.
