Dawgs, Cougs Both Crack AP Top 25 Pre-Season Poll
If preseason predictions come to pass, it should be one heck of an Apple Cup this year.
Both the University of Washington Huskies and the Washington State Cougars were voted as two of the Top 25 College Football programs in the country heading in to the 2019 season in the annual Associated Press poll.
The Dawgs garnered 786 points, good for a #13 ranking, while the Cougs were slotted at #23 overall. Both squads fared slightly better in the Coaches poll, UW at #12 and WSU at #21.
UW and WSU were two of five Pac-12 teams to enter the season ranked. The others include the Oregon Ducks (#11), the Utah Utes (#14) and the Stanford Cardinal (#25). Arizona State, Arizona and Southern Cal also received votes.
