The 2014 edition of Downtown Summer Nights blew in on a blustery Thursday night, but nobody was complaining — not even the bands.

Bonney Lake-based Fall Days opened up with a set that got the crowd rolling, followed by a bluegrass-flavored set by Seattle's Sammy Witness and the Reassignment. Then, the headliner: Cody Beebe and the Crooks.

By the end of the night, Fourth Street was packed from Yakima Avenue to Chestnut, the beer garden had been drained and everyone was dancing, tapping their feet or at least grinning.

But hey: The summer's just getting started.

Downtown Summer Nights continues every Thursday night through Aug. 21. Next week, it's  Yogman Burning Band, Village and Bradford Loomis.

Music, food, drinks — and lots of music — run from 5-9 p.m.
