Flood Waters Cause 40th and Fruitvale To Remain Closed In Yakima

Flood waters that closed 40th ave and Frutivale in Yakima this morning still continues to cause trouble for road crews.

A DOT press release states that sand and sand bags have been placed to divert the water flow but the water still hasn't rescinded.

US 12 Eastbound and Westbound ramps will remain closed due to the water over the highway and road crews are on site monitoring the situation.

The DOT says updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
